|  | Old-fashioned Apricot Raspberry Jam  2 pounds prepared apricots1 ½ cups raspberries
 ¼ cup   water
 2 ¼ pounds sugar
 Hot sterilized jars and lids
 
            Wash the fruit thoroughly.  Cut away any blemishes.  Peel and   pit apricots. Crush or chop fruit. Weigh fruit and sugar.  Put fruit and water into a heavy kettle large enough for the   mixture to boil up.  Heat to boiling point. Add sugar and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Cook until thick, stirring frequently to prevent burning.  The   cooking time will be from 10 to 20 minutes, depending on your fruit.  Jam is done when thick.  Pour immediately into hot sterile jars   and seal.      |
