Bourbon Pumpkin Pie

2 Tablespoons butter
3/4 cup sugar
3 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 cup evaporated milk or cream
1/4 cup bourbon whiskey
1 9 inch unbaked pie shell

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Adding remaining ingredients, beating well. Pour into pastry shell and bake at 450 for 10 minutes. Reduce oven to 325 and bake for another 45 minutes or until custard is set and firm in center.
