Easy Southern Cooking/ Turkey Glazes
Turkey GlazesAny of these glazes can be applied to turkey, chicken or duck during the last 30 minutes of cooking. Each recipe glazes a 12-18 lb turkey. Double the recipe if your turkey is significantly larger. 1. Maple Glaze1 large yellow onion, finely chopped Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes. Extra glaze can be heated and poured over the sliced meat at the table if gravy is not preferred. 2. Spicy Orange Glaze1 ½ cup orange marmalade Combine all ingredients. Spread over turkey with a pastry brush during the final 30 minutes of cooking.
